The Creation - تخلیق
This story is told to children by Grandma Ida.
This story really happened. It was written in the Bible by Moses.
Here is Grandma Ida again... together with Arosa, we will tell you about God.
Today we want to tell you something about Creation.
You can read this story on the first page of the Bible. The Bible is God's letter to us.
In the beginning God created heaven and earth.
A very, very long time ago, the earth was formless and empty. There were no beautiful streets, no houses, no people, and no animals. And it was very dark there.
But God in heaven had a beautiful plan for the earth. He wanted to make people, love them, and He wanted to take care of them. He would also be very pleased if people loved Him.
But God first had to prepare the earth, so that people could live there with joy.
Therefore, He first created the light. That was not yet the light of the sun, because that was not created until the fourth day. This light was the LIGHT of Yeshua (Jesus). Yeshua says: “I am the LIGHT of the world” (John 8:12). Can you say that out loud together? Just let me hear it, say it: ……
“Yeshua is the LIGHT of the world”………
(maybe say it together one more time, a little louder!)
That is a LIGHT that makes you happy.
God used 7 days for the creation:
• Day 1: Light and darkness. God created the light and a distinction was made between LIGHT and Darkness.
• Day 2: Heaven and water. The blue sky was made, but also the clouds.
• Day 3: Land and plants. The water on earth came together in the sea and thus land (land and sea) came into being. God ensured that flowers, plants, and trees appeared on the earth.
• Day 4: Sun, moon, and stars. These were placed in the sky. This way, people knew what day and night were.
• Day 5: Fish and birds. All kinds of fish and sea creatures appeared in the water, and the sky became a place where birds could fly.
• Day 6: Land animals and man. God created all the animals on land. As the crown of creation, He made man. Beautiful, isn't it, that man was allowed to be “the crown” (the most beautiful!) of creation!
Day 7: Rest. God was finished with His work and rested on the seventh day. He enjoyed looking at what He had made. This day also became a day of rest for people. They call it the “Sabbath.”
How did God make the Creation? Not with a hammer and a screwdriver. Not with all kinds of tools or machines. He only had to say what needed to come, and then it came. When He said: “Let there be light…” then there was light. That is how great and clever God is!
We cannot understand that, can we?
Who among you knows in how many days the world was created? Please say it! You can also show it with your fingers……
Man was created last, so that everything he needed was there. Do you also know on which day man was created?
Well, tell me……!
It was Adam, the man, who was created first. He liked the world in which he was allowed to live, it was so beautiful.
Actually, it was a very large garden in which he lived. He saw all those animals and began to give them names. Those animals were not afraid of him at all, and they were not dangerous either. He could calmly stroke the lion on the head when he gave him straw to eat. The cat did not want to catch and eat birds or mice.
But Adam was also a little sad, because there were always two of those animals: a male and a female. Adam thought to himself that, as a man, he would also like to have a wife, just like the animals.
Then God gave a woman to Adam. Her name was Eve. How happy Adam was. It was so beautiful and peaceful in the garden, which is called “The Garden of Eden,” or also “Paradise.”
Beautiful rivers flowed there, and delicious fruits grew. Adam and Eve enjoyed it very much together. They were grateful that God had given this to them. When Adam and Eve took a walk in the garden in the evening, they could simply talk to God. What wonderful times those were. There was so much love, so much beautiful nature, and what a mighty God they had who had made all this for them.
And when God looked at His creation, He said: “The creation was very good!”
Can you say that to each other too? Go ahead, let it be heard: “God’s creation was very good.”
