This story really happened is
written in the Bible by Moses.

Do you see that old man who is busy hammering? Do you know what his name is? Well...?
That is Noah. He was related to Adam and Eve. Do you remember when they ate from the wrong tree? Satan (the serpent) told them they wouldn't die. But they did.
Noah is old—he is already a grandfather—but he is still very strong. He has three sons who are grown men now. Their names are Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and they are helping their father.

What could he possibly be building? You can see it, can't you? He is building a boat... a very big boat! A boat that is called 'an ark'. People came to watch. They talked to each other and laughed. Noah was building a boat, but there was no water around at all! A boat cannot sail without water, right? Isn't that silly of Noah? "Haha, a boat but no sea, no water at all!"

God had told Noah that He would bring a great flood upon the earth. In it, all people and animals would drown. Why did all those people and animals have to drown? Isn't that terrible? It was because the people were disobedient. They did very evil things, listening to the things Satan whispered to them. You will understand that better when you are grown up and can read the Bible yourself. Because of this evil, enormous giants lived on the earth. The people had no love for God, who had created them. They preferred to listen to Satan.

But God would take care of Noah, his wife, and his children. Noah was always speaking with God in prayer. Noah and his family were truly obedient to God. They were to go into the ark whenever God told them to.

Inside that big boat, rooms and pens had to be made for the animals. One male and one female of every kind of animal were to go along. They also had to bring plenty of food, because both people and animals would need to eat. So, Noah was busy getting everything ready.

And do you know what happened next? The animals that were allowed on the boat knew they had to go there. God sent them. They came walking right towards it: cows, pigs, chickens, bears, mice, birds, cats, monkeys... and many more kinds! Two of every kind: a male and a female. And of some kinds, there were seven. God sent these animals straight to the ark. And Grandpa Noah did everything exactly as God had told him.

Do you always listen so well too?
